Students will need to examine a current cultural or religious view of death different from their own. Students may choose to write about one of the videos on cultural perspectives on death & dying, but will need to find additional source material as well (cited within the post and referenced at the bottom of the post). How does this culture or religion view death? What are common or typical grieving processes? What's expected of family members, close friends, acquaintances, and broader neighbors/ society? How does this view of death potentially influence development for individuals endemic to that culture or set of beliefs? Students may reflect/ compare to their own experiences. In all cases, be respectful and thoughtful when approaching information from an outside perspective.
